The University of South Florida Police Department
(USFPD) is committed to empowering community members by assisting
them with the development of personal safety, home, and property
security plans. A strong commitment to public safety through education
is the driving force behind USFPD's Crime Prevention Unit. The Unit
consists of a lieutenant and a sergeant.

Meet the Crime Prevention Staff:
Lieutenant Joe Anderson responsible for
the Crime Prevention Unit and Special Events Planning. He is a basic
and advanced Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) instructor.
Sergeant Charlotte Domingo is a certified
Crime Prevention Practitioner through the Florida Attorney General’s
Office. She presents crime prevention programming to USF students,
staff and faculty, as well as tenants of the University. She is
also a certified Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
Practitioner through the Florida Attorney General’s Office.
Sgt. Domingo reviews all construction plans for new facilities and
major renovation projects for existing buildings to insure that
they meet accepted standards for safety. Sgt. Domingo is a certified
basic and advanced Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) instructor and
is currently an adjunct faculty member in the Physical Education
Elective department, teaching RAD to students. She is also a certified
Self-Defense Awareness and Familiarization Exchange (S.A.F.E.) instructor
and has conducted many S.A.F.E. workshops for female students and
staff members.
Crime Prevention programming is also provided by
many other officers through the USFPD Adopt-A-Cop program.
