Notification
Pursuant to the Jeanne Cleary Act(Section 485(f) of the
Higher Education Act or 20 U.S.C. 1092(f)), the University Police must
make timely warning reports to the campus community pertaining to crimes
identified in (F)(i)(I-VIII) that represent a continuing threat to students
and employees and have been reported to campus and local law enforcement
agencies. The following incident was not directly reported to the University
Police but to another University department.
SEXUAL BATTERY - On December 8, 2003,
a victim reported that she was sexually battered on March 3, 2003 at 8:00
p.m. in the Library Parking lot. The victim stated she was grabbed and
shoved against her vehicle. The suspect then put his hand inside the victim’s
pants. The suspect then fled the area.
Anyone experiencing a similar incident is encouraged
to notify police as soon as it is safe to do so.
