Arrest of Armed Subject on Campus

On April 24, 2007 at 3:58 a.m., the USF Police Department arrested Cloal Lang Leatherman, W/M, DOB: 08/20/59 for possession of a firearm on school grounds. The subject was asleep in his vehicle in the Police Department parking lot. Upon contact, officers noticed a .38 caliber handgun on the seat beside him. The subject was placed under arrest. A search of the car produced a shotgun and several different types of ammunition and a survival knife. The subject is not affiliated with USF.
The subject was transported to Hillsborough County Jail and booked on felony
charge of Possession of a Firearm on School Property.
