COMMUNITY CRIME ALERT

Date of Alert: September 26, 2005 Alert#: 2005-004 Offense: Credit Card "Skimming"

The University of South Florida Police Department Criminal Investigation Division is currently investigating a credit card "skimming" case that occurred on September 17, 2005. CID is attempting to identify the two male subjects at the ATM machine. Suspects apparently had previously "skimmed" 23 separate bank cards and made 13 unauthorized cash withdrawals totaling $4,110.00. In total, 69 attempts on various accounts were completed during the 43 minutes suspects were at the ATM machine. Incident occurred on the day of the USF/UCF football game in Tampa. Subjects may be from the Orlando area.
